Recruiting Specialist
Reports to Talent Acquisition Manager - Georgia, Virginia, Alabama, Mississippi
Essential Duties:
- Receive direction from Talent Acquisition Manager to maintain effective recruiting processes for Mississippi.
- Maintain tools which facilitate strong communication with Program Directors and Regional Directors of Operations, to stay knowledgeable of recruitment needs.
- Actively recruit new staff by seeking out untapped recruitment methods and utilizing existing relationships with agency partners to communicate about open positions.
- Develop, post, and maintain open position postings and candidate tracking in JazzHR system.
- Facilitate hiring process through collaboration with Program Directors.
- Potential times where there may be completing the interview process for new candidates.
- Attend or coordinate local job and college fairs. Be prepared to speak formally and informally on behalf of the agency.
- Understand pulse of agency culture to speak of behalf of agency.
- Serve as an internal support and encourager of fellow staff.
- Assist with identifying opportunities for cultivating growth both internally and externally.
- Assist with job boards (Handshake, Purple Briefcase, etc.) and reporting data through JazzHR.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience within the agency preferred.
- Recruiting experience preferred.
- Demonstrated professional writing skills, using appropriate terminology and standard grammar.
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks within set time limits with minimum of supervision.
- Reasoning and analytical skills.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with using the internet, Microsoft, Adobe, Excel, and Power Point.
- Ability to navigate recruiting platforms such as JazzHR.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. As well as ability to take initiative.
- Ability to work within the organization of the agency and to follow and adhere to established agency procedures.
- Ability to work professionally and ethically with the public. Public speaking skills preferred.
- Ability to be a team player.
- Ability to attend some recruiting events in the state of Mississippi.
