ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Business Development Activities
*Under the direction & leadership of the BD Director/RMEC General Manager to develop, identify project pipelines and evaluate specific business opportunities in Singapore, Malaysia as well support in the Region. (if required) Taking the initiative to take lead for all BD activities especially in Malaysia.
- Understand the submission requirements and work with the Tender Team to ensure compliance
- Co-ordinate and follow up the Submitted Proposals to EPC and Clients (Third Party)
- Prepare and Participate in any Client meetings and or business partners to pursue business opportunities and advance the organization interests under the Guidance of Management
- Proactive and Diligently follow-up on the proposals listed in the Sales Pipeline and look for new opportunities.
- Assist & Update, Submit Monthly Sales Pipeline and arrange for Road Shows for the overseas offices
- Work closely with the Superior / Senior Management to identify and evaluate new markets for existing products or services and other development and marketing partnership opportunities
- Network closely with the Group BDD in product/marketing and service management to leverage the success from other markets.
- Report weekly progress to BD Director (based in Singapore).
- Ensure customer retention and satisfaction for key customers (Get Client Feedback) Taking the lead on request for Tender Debriefs in the event of any unsuccessful bidding.
- Work with the local teams (Admin, HR, Projects, Maintenance Services, etc.) so as to understand the local statutory requirements.
- Managing sales process, compliance and reporting functions to drive prospect, qualifying & developing the opportunity pipeline.
- Assist to arrange annual trips to key identified EPC clients on a year basis.
- Updating of Presentation Slides/ Media or Product Brochures (as and when required)
- Assist BD Director for given assignments & responsibilities. Ensure that the given responsibilities are well executed.
- Arrange and Participate the Outlook discussion annually.
2) Finance
- To understand and Conduct Risk Analysis of big value projects and actions to mitigate such risks.
- Assist management in making decisions through such mitigated risks.
- Understand of Project financing / costing.
- Basic understanding of project development process, business models and financing methodology of large scale projects.
3) Client And Alliance Relation
- Assist the BD Director to identify, build and manage long term business relationships with strategic partners
- Assist the BD Director to drive strategic initiatives related to related to related to business development opportunities and strategic alliances, JV's, distribution agreement, mergers/acquisitions etc
- Analyze the sales projects and key performance indicators of the sales territory and maintain a consolidated regional customer database.
4) Market Research
- Undertake market research (inhouse or outsource) to keep the management abreast of latest market and industry trends
- Evaluate the findings of market research; assess the viability of alternative market segment for growth and make recommendations to the BD Director.
- Collecting and analyzing market intelligence on competitions, industry trend, new technology, key customers, EPCs and Owners, with the aim to implement strategy/tactics to continually enhance the company competitive advantage.
- Perform SWOT analysis of competitors and compare with REI/RMC's strengths or advantages
5) Special Task
- Ability to identify and proactive to work on any assigned new tasks
- Willingness to take up any additional tasks / responsibility as and when required.
- Having the ownership to make things happen.
- Taking initiatives to improve any required processes / tasks.
