Position Summary:
To provide leadership and technical support for compliance to audit, tax and corporate reporting with focus on IFRS, local statutory audit and tax compliance.
What You Will Do:
General Ledger

• Support share service activity and where necessary support US working hours.
• Support tax, audit, legal, insurance and secretarial related matters
• Support weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual Corporate / management reporting
• Perform accounting functions such as:

• Payroll review, updates and reconciliation.
• Headcount analysis.
• GL review and control.
• Coordinate Balance Sheet tracker.
• Prepare & review Balance Sheet reconciliation.

• Leading & coordinate month end close activities.
• Perform month end forex revaluation, review the reasonableness between USD and MYR book.
• Prepare and analyze company expenditure.
• Lead project based activities
• Assist management in various ad-hoc analyses and reporting.
• Lead plant wide quarterly internal control self-assessment.
• Perform ICS independent testing to ensure compliance to ICS requirement.
• Other key responsibilities are:

• Manage and coordinate quarterly self-assessment to ensure compliance to IFRS/SOX/Audit requirement
• Review and ensure full compliance with company accounting policies
• Liaise with company legal and secretarial related filing and authorization
• Annual insurance assessment and claim
• Company and Expat taxation preparation and submission
• Internal and external audit compliance and coordination

What You Will Bring (REQUIRED Qualifications):

• At least 5-7 years experience in financial related areas, external audit or MNC's GL role.

Education (Minimum Level)

• Bachelor's

Field of Study

• Accountancy or possess a professional qualification recognized by MIA/ACCA.

Years of Experience (Minimum)

• 5 - 7 years

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preference to those with audit and reporting experience from manufacturing environment.
• Internal audit experience & willing to travel oversea for ICS requirement or shared service tasks transfer.
• Possess excellent financial analytical skills, result oriented and fast learner
• Able to prioritize and multitask in a fast paced manufacturing environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent in communication, proactive, self-motivated and good team player.
• Possess excellent excel skills and familiar with advanced ERP system.
