Objectives of the Position

  • This person will be responsible for transport operations and distribution network management for a country.


Main Tasks

Transport Management:

  • Manage transport operation (inbound, outbound) for bulk and packaged with different modes of transportation, perform SAP transactions eg. Delivery Order processing, TM Order processing, etc.
  • Evaluate, monitor and improve the performance of 3rd party service providers, handle non-conformance service issues; participate and support 3rd party service provider selection;
  • Tracking delivery of products to customer (monitoring of in transit vehicles, shipments)
  • Coordination and management of order management
  • Ensuring timely delivery of goods to customer
  • Coordination with EHS, insurance and service provider in a case of accidents
  • Insurance management (raising insurance claim and recovery) incl. management of recovery from service providers


Distribution Network Management:

  • Manage distribution network operations including warehouse, tank terminal etc. Perform SAP transactions eg. GR/GI, stock status change, COA, Label, etc.
  • Interact with business management, BU SCM and sales to gain knowledge of business and provide Warehouse operations solution to business
  • Offer guidance to Logistics Service Provider team members in capturing BU/ Customer expectation / reduction of repeat NCM;s, by analyzing the root causes, propose corrective measures and ensure on-time closure of the end-to-end process in coordination with BUs and Functions for all Logistics Operations complaints.
  • Provide on the job coaching & training in matters related to Warehouse operations, process efficiency and foster customer focus culture
  • Ensure Zero Medium and Major observation during internal and External audits of Distribution Network Operations processes.
  • Regular and timely monitoring of Warehousing LSP via defined KPIs, analysis of data from SAP system and / or developing / implementing new KPIs relevant to the business. Conduct regular service provider performance reviews.
  • Continuous process and Cost improvement for the Business Units in the assigned geography
  • Safety/Compliance: Ensure high safety/compliance standards are maintained by all LSP at all times. Conduct internal audits and visits.
  • Communication: Ensure timely and effective communication with all stakeholders (Business Units, 3rd party LSP, Logistics procurement, Customer Service, BU Planners etc)


Requirements

Education

  • Full time MBA (Tier 1, 2), with LSS Green Belt certification will be preferred
  • B. E Qualification will be plus.
  • APICS certification will be plus.


Working Experience

  • 7-8 years of experience in the field of Supply chain operations, Experience of Value stream mapping


Technical & Professional Knowledge

  • Detail oriented and good analytical skills,
  • Knowledge of Transportation & Warehousing Safety process
  • Knowledge of SAP processes & Digitalization of Logistics Operations.
  • Knowledge of Logistics service provider market / Real Estate market.
  • Have expertise in bringing Change Management and Transformation in Operations
