Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking for “ Senior/Lead Mainframe Developer “ who could join in our team of IT professionals in a permanent role. Role: Senior/Lead Mainframe Developer

Work experience required 10-15+

Must have skill:

Mainframe, COBOL, JCL

Good to have:

Energy and Utilities customers experience will be added advantage.

Responsibilities:

Design develop and maintain Mainframe COBOL & JCL to meet support and/or project requirements.

Interface with business and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate business requirements into formal technical requirements and appl

10+ years of mainframe Development background in design analysis and coding: COBOL JCL DB2 VSAM etc.

IT technical background & mainframe programming experience

Experience in all components of software delivery with concentration in requirements design and development.

Quick starter to troubleshoot/resolve incidents and business support items

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working in a global environment

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Ability to multi-task effectively

Prioritize Business Impact and Urgency

Perform application support tasks like: systems support security reviews & maintenance tasks

Testing experience

Ability to learn new technologies and methodologies quickly

Good To Have Skills

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
