About this role
They main areas of focus in this roles are Business Development/Project Inception, Technical/Project Management and Managerial. As part of the MEP team would will look to provide input into the overall running of projects (particularly in the Mechanical Services area) to ensure successful project delivery, and the ongoing development of the Team’s effective project management and technical capability. You will also contribute to the strategic development of the MEP business, including (but not limited to) the positioning of the business within the local marketplace, business plan development and evaluation, and the ongoing development of associated skills and procedures within the unit.

What will I do?

• Involved in detailed Mechanical design, calculations and drawings as well as modelling of engineering behaviour.
• As part of the senior team, you will actively identify and pursue new and relevant business/project opportunities for the MEP team.
• Provide input into the overall running of projects (particularly in the Mechanical Services area) to ensure successful project delivery, and the ongoing development of the team’s effective project management and technical capability.
• Attend meetings and communicate with clients and design disciplines to establish their needs.
• Produce/Review technical submissions, reports and bid documents for compliance with design intent.

What will I bring?

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant Mechanical design experience with an engineering consultancy.
• Ideally you will be an Mechanical PE or be on track to obtain your PE license.
• Proficient with engineering software packages, AutoCAD and 3D/BIM modelling software such as Revit & Rhino (for Designer).
• Ability to design and deliver solutions on projects and on site
