Job description

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects.
• To lead internal team for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) preparation and executionTo lead internal team for EIA preparation and execution.
• Supervise subordinates on EIA and other activities.
• To communicate with consultants and authorities.
• Responsible to meet deadline of each projects.
• To ensure preparation of documents are well organized.
• To work with HOD on preparation of projects and set the Gantt Chart.
• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
• Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
• Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
• Assign responsibilities and mentor project team.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
• Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective action.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant field
• Experienced in Petrochemical Industry will be added advantage.
• Understanding of EIA processes (e.g: scoping, screening, impact assessment, mitigating measures, monitoring, report writing, preparation of EMP, project management skills.
• Member of EIA Team or with formal EIA trainingwill be added advantage.
• Basic understanding of environmental & planning regulations in Malaysia.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Environmental Management (including Audit, EIA, KB & Compliance).
• Attended the Induction Course organised by EIMAS and passed examination will be added advantage.
• Proven working experience as a Project Engineer.
• Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards.
• Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
• Project management and supervision skills.
• Decision making ability and leadership skills.
• Time management and organization skills.
• Must have own transportation.

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: RM6,000.00 - RM8,500.00 per month
