Job description
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects.
- To lead internal team for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) preparation and executionTo lead internal team for EIA preparation and execution.
- Supervise subordinates on EIA and other activities.
- To communicate with consultants and authorities.
- Responsible to meet deadline of each projects.
- To ensure preparation of documents are well organized.
- To work with HOD on preparation of projects and set the Gantt Chart.
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
- Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
- Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
- Assign responsibilities and mentor project team.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective action.
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant field
- Experienced in Petrochemical Industry will be added advantage.
- Understanding of EIA processes (e.g: scoping, screening, impact assessment, mitigating measures, monitoring, report writing, preparation of EMP, project management skills.
- Member of EIA Team or with formal EIA trainingwill be added advantage.
- Basic understanding of environmental & planning regulations in Malaysia.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Environmental Management (including Audit, EIA, KB & Compliance).
- Attended the Induction Course organised by EIMAS and passed examination will be added advantage.
- Proven working experience as a Project Engineer.
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD
- Advanced MS Office skills.
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards.
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
- Project management and supervision skills.
- Decision making ability and leadership skills.
- Time management and organization skills.
- Must have own transportation.
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: RM6,000.00 - RM8,500.00 per month
