Description/Job Summary
The staffing coordinator is a member of the administrative team. This position is primarily responsible for the recruitment, onboarding and oversight of Direct Care Professionals (DSPs) who are hired for open shifts in residential and day service sites. This position is shared between two RHD Programs: Community Passages and Mainstay WEPA.

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Recruitment of DSP staff, posts positions via BalanceTRAK, stage hiring outcomes.
  • Manages data base of DSP relief staff.
  • Provides recommendations for best candidates.
  • Provides onboarding for new hires, through orientation and job trainings.
  • Supervises DSPs on relief list. Checks with managers for feedback on staff performance.
  • Prepares monthly report on status of job fairs, relief lists, job performance.

Required Experience
Three years' experience with services provided by group homes, day program, and/or support to individuals living independently in the community.

Required Education
High School diploma, Associates degree in human services field preferred.

Required Qualifications
  • Use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to successfully pass background checks
  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required.

Program Summary
Community Passages is a community-based residential program designed to provide a homelike environment for individuals with developmental disabilities and dual diagnoses, many of whom present significantly challenging behaviors and most of whom previously resided at state centers and hospitals. Residents develop life skills, increase their self-esteem, and are empowered to make choices for themselves. Person-centered planning, self-determination, and personalization foster individualized programs in an open and safe environment encouraging consumer empowerment and personal growth.
Mainstay WEPA is a supervised community-based residential program designed to provide a range of established and innovative rehabilitation strategies for adults with developmental disabilities, mental illness, and Problematic Sexual Behaviors. The program focuses on community and personal safety, accountability, competence, least restrictive alternative, normalization, due process and control.
