Job description

We are looking for a friendly Store Assistant to greet customers and assist them with their shopping needs. The Store Assistant is responsible for finding items in the store, providing information about specials and ordering stock for customers if necessary.


To be successful as a Store Assistant you must have excellent interpersonal skills. A great Store Assistant balances customer satisfaction with meeting sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform as team member together with truck driver.
2. To help with driving FTS truck
3. Act as Kuching Family Thrift Store public relations person in dealing with donors first hand.
4. Accept physical hard work by carrying all donors items.
5. Assist driver to plan routes and organize loading and unloading functions.
6. Assist in arranging goods at store.
7. Assist in Kampong Sales.
8. Assist in loading of rags and scrap.
9. Maintain positive work attitude and cleanliness at all times.
10. Carry out any other related duties as assign by the Store Supervisor or Manager.
Job Requirements
  • SPM preferred but not necessary
  • Prior experience in retail would be advantageous.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Friendly disposition.
  • Reasonable fitness level.
Working Hours
8.30 am to 5.00 pm (Monday – Friday, 1 hour lunch)
8.30 am to 12.00 pm (Saturday)
Flexibility in working schedule is required when necessary

SPM or relevant experience
