What is the opportunity?
RBC Investor & Treasury Services Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones. Malaysia is one of two operational processing hubs that supports Custody - Transaction Management; Settlements; NAV Production; Fund Reporting; Shareholder Services; Global Fund Platform Services; Data Service Delivery; Entitlements – income and corporate actions and Reconciliations. The country employs a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of our global operations, improve service quality via our ‘centres of excellence’ and to implement/leverage standard processes globally.
As a member of the Logical Access Management team you will be responsible to ensure Global RBC I&TS compliance with meeting its Logical Access Security Standards (LASS) through periodic application access attestations. Coordinating the Data Owner, Stewards and Application Custodians across the full I&TS application inventory to complete timely and accurate access reviews based on LASS policy, CSSF and ISAE3402 audit control standards.
You will be supporting all region, with shift hours between 11:00AM and 8:00PM.
- Challenging the business of their understanding of their risk and the status and adequacy of their controls, inclusive of proactive risk management.
- Consulting and advising on the design of risk management practices within the Business to effectively identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Reviewing and providing assurance that the Operational Control management practices in their respective businesses are effective, meet RBC’s enterprise level requirements, and are followed consistently across the business.
- Deliver timely and accurate logical access reviews across I&TS application inventory on behalf of the 1st line risk owners (Data Steward).
- Ensure awareness and compliance to DOSA across the 1st line risk owners (Data Owner Steward Assignment) and partner with the DMO for enhanced governance models.
- Support and ensure compliance with any and all regulatory standards - CSSF, external audit controls - ISAE3402 and LASS requirements across the team.
- In partnership with T&O and 2nd Line Risk help to embed awareness and understanding into the 1st line of access provisioning, fulfillment and reviews roles and requirements, across the RBC, Business Managed App’s and Third Party application inventory.
- Compute and produce MI, Reporting and Risk Governance for the Logical access reviews and support the ongoing delivery to senior management/risk owners
Must-have
- Experience working with application management, access management either across IT, Business or Risk functions
- Strong comprehension and experiences in managing operational or IT processing with a risk and control mindset
- Analytical thinking – Ability to break apart complex problems into component problems or issues and make appropriate decisions
- Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate results and recommendations to senior management in a concise manner.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint / Excel
- Change or project experience is an added advantage
- Able to work independently.
- Portray leadership skill.

Job Summary
Business Unit Operational Risk and Resilience – Logical Access Management is embedded in RBC I&TS 1st Line of Defense, reporting into the Chief Operations Office.
Operational Change Risk & Control is a global function responsible for:
- Execute the Enterprise Operations Risk Management ( EORM ) Framework limited to specific programs in order to determine and report an independent point of view of the “Operational Risk Profile” , and escalate issues as required,
- Challenging the business of their understanding of their risk and the status and adequacy of their controls, inclusive of proactive risk management,
- Reviewing and providing assurance that the Operational Control management practices in their respective businesses are effective, meet RBC’s enterprise level requirements, and are followed consistently across the business,
- Consulting and advising on the design of risk management practices within the Business to effectively identify and mitigate operational risks
- Logical Access Management oversight of logical access requirements, process and controls across the segment for alignment to LASS: Logical Access Security Standards and local IS Bank client data regulation (CSSF)
