Job Purpose
The incumbent will work within the Securities Lending Service Delivery (UK) team. They will be responsible for supervision of all Operational elements of the SL business, managing client (internal and external) expectations and striving to provide exceptional client service at all times.
The position involves management of 3 direct reports, acting as an initial point of escalation for both internal and external issues and queries. The Securities Lending business has a direct relationship with, and impact upon, custody clients, multiple internal partners and external borrowers. There will also be regular communication with oversight
Oversee and manage Securities Lending operational activity across multiple markets to ensure the highest levels of performance are achieved
Provision of an exceptional level of client service in all areas, with particular focus on sale and transition management in terms of day-to-day tasks
Provision of support to the International Securities Finance business, ensuring that trade settlement, corporate action, income collection and all associated reconciliation issues are managed and prioritised according to associated levels of market/financial risk
Ensure that the department meets all audit and compliance requirements, applying a strong understanding of UK regulation (CASS) and applying the appropriate rules and guidance to all activity managed within the team
Creation/submission of group performance (KPI/KRI/KQI) summaries, ensuring the team understand the impact of the functions for which they are responsible
Maintain a strong working knowledge of market practice across those markets that are managed
Maintenance of relationships with the sub-custodian network, borrowing brokers and the Settlement/Income team
