OVERVIEW:

Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud (MOWLB) is a nonprofit organization that has been serving the community since 1968. Our mission is to nourish and enrich the lives of homebound individuals with nutritious meals and daily contact by caring volunteers. We provide 75,000 meals per year to over 600 people with a team of ten employees and over 250 volunteers. Our office is located in downtown Loveland.

POSITION PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Support Coordinator plays an important role at MOWLB needing to be a team player and able to help wherever needed. Their focus is on helping complete initial intakes and understanding the needs of our clients and linking them and their families with area resources, supports, and services. This role requires attention to detail, strong computer skills, especially with our CRM platform Salesforce. They need to have an empathetic nature, strong customer service skills, and the ability to problem-solve, educate, and collaborate with staff and volunteers when issues arise.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Alignment with the MOWLB mission
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Social Work, Psychology, Gerontology, Human Development, etc.
• Three or more years of older adult service experience with a solid knowledge base of issues related to aging.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong public speaking skills
• Excellent listening and documentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish and maintain positive relationships, both externally and internally
• Knowledge of service providers supporting older adults in Larimer County
• A current valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
• Must be proficient in the use of computer applications, specifically, email, calendar, word processing, and database management. (Google Workspace & Salesforce preferred)
• Excellent organizational skills and must be detail-oriented

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:

This is a full-time, non-exempt position, M-F, requiring some evenings and weekends as needed for board meetings, outreach activities, or other events. Top-quality staff with excellent work culture. Three weeks paid time off with incremental increases. Salary Range: $18 - $23 per hour. MOWLB offers a monthly stipend for health insurance.
