PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Integrates authorized versions of firmware and software for IT assets
- Uses and relies upon scripts, firmware versions, software images, firmware configuration instructions, and equipment provided by the Government such as System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or Windows Deployment Services (WDS) when integrating
- Updates, maintains, monitors, and operates SCCM or like server
- Administers and supports the Microsoft SCCM and Government provided Enterprise Imaging Management System (EIMS) within the ES&D facility
- Applies engineering analytical disciplines to identify, document, and verify that functional, performance, and physical characteristics of systems, to control changes and non-conformance, and to track actual configurations of systems and platforms
- Protects and defends information and information systems by ensuring their availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation. This includes providing for restoration of information systems by incorporating protection, detection, and reaction capabilities.
- Performs Systems Administration and Maintenance Tasks to include: main the security posture of EIMS systems and components, maintain images and data backups, maintain EIMS scripts, install patches and add device drivers
MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate's degree in related field
- Five (5) years of Computerized System experience, to include: Design, Development, Test and Evaluation, Network Protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and UNIX and Windows based operating systems
- Two (2) years technical and administrative experience supporting Network Protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and Windows based operating systems on the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) and The Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI)
- Must obtain one of the following certifications within 1.5 year after assuming duties:
- Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM)
- Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP)
Or, with COR approval: - Microsoft role-based certification
- Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD)
- Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)
- Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP)
- CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP)
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
- VMWare Certified Professional (VCP)
- Cloud certifications
