REPORTS TO: CFO, PureCircle
DIRECT REPORTS: None – individual contributor

The Tax Lead is responsible for the tax accounting and all tax related matters pertaining to the global PureCircle by Ingredion business.
The Tax Lead main responsibilities are :
Tax Reporting & Tax Accounting
  • Review entity tax provision (current tax & deferred tax) and prepare consolidated tax provision for month end closing, forecast (4 times in a year), Goal (Annual Budgeting)
  • Review entity submission and prepare consolidated submission for Quarterly Reporting Package, US Tax Package
  • Support and working closely with Corporate Tax Accounting Team based in US to provide US GAAP tax accounting guidance, and implement/execute new initiatives and projects within PureCircle Group.
Tax Planning & Advisory
Transfer Pricing
  • Working closely with external tax advisors and entity finance team to prepare transfer pricing documentations in accordance with local requirement.
  • Prepare transfer pricing tracking, engage relevant business partners to ensure each entity is following the TP policy.
  • Provide guidance for inter-company transaction.
  • Manage inter-company agreements.
  • Prepare TP reporting for submission to Corporate Tax
Tax Advisory
  • Responsible to handle and manage application of tax incentives.
  • Provide internal tax advisory and work with external tax advisors if required.
  • Coordinate with local finance team and external advisors to work on significant tax matters
  • Keeping abreast of latest tax developments and impact of new tax laws, regulations and rulings.
Tax Compliance for the group
  • Review Tax Computation, Tax Return and estimate tax payment by working closely with entity finance and external tax advisor to ensure timely and accurate filing. (Malaysia, US, UK, India)
  • Manage tax controversy matter within the Group.
  • Manage the tax audits process. Liaise with entity finance and external tax advisor to coordinate, facilitate and resolves tax audits.
General
  • Responsible to support, implement and execute new initiatives and projects from Corporate Tax.
  • Act as key point of contact for Corporate Tax based in US.
  • Manage tax advisors to ensure they have delivered their work in a timely manner and meeting the expectation.
  • Support the management with additional ad-hoc tasks as required.
  • Improve tax processes by developing or implementing best practices.

Qualified candidates will have:
Mandatory requirements:
  • Business Degree / Professional Accreditation / MBA
  • Minimum 7 years in tax accounting, tax compliance, tax returns & tax planning
  • Experience in Direct and Indirect Tax
  • Must have US GAAP Tax knowledge and experience
  • Has knowledge and experience of Local/Regional Tax
  • Familiar with transfer pricing
  • English fluency, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work independently, result driven & highly motivated
