Introduction to Lazada eLogistics (LeL)

Everything written about eCommerce opportunity in Southeast Asia is overwhelmingly positive - a population of 600 million plus consumers, growing internet connectivity, broad penetration of smart phones, a young and tech savvy population and expanding GDP and purchasing power. The region’s rate of eCommerce share of total retail at around 1 percent shows enormous opportunity in comparison to 14-17% in the west and China.

Despite these extraordinary possibilities, the logistics environment in SE Asia remains a huge challenge.

Lazada eLogistics (LeL) mission is to address these challenges, delight customers and win them over to eCommerce. We are building an innovative, highly visible, low cost logistics network. Our operating model is based on an ecosystem of logistics partners stitched together with state-of-the-art technology and our modular infrastructure

LeL is the Logistics arm of the Lazada Group and is structured around four operating Business Units

• Express: own B2C last mile delivery capabilities from pick-up to sort to delivery
• Transport: Management of our ecosystem of partners (3PLs) along all the transportation components
• Fulfilment: Operation of a network of warehouses that can fill retail orders on our own behalf, as well as providing fulfilment services to merchants and international brands
• Crossborder: Build-up & management of international logistics network giving seamlessly access to ASEAN

The role
We are looking for an Inventory Manager capable to:

• Line management of Warehouse Operatives and Warehouse disciplines
• Proactively train, evaluate and motivate inventory shop-floor team / associates (put away, cycle count, picking)
• Ensure continuous improvement and that prompt action is taken with any complaints that arise (quick action)
• Ensure targets and deadlines are clearly understood and are being achieved
• Conduct daily cycle counts and location use counts to verify store physical inventory vs. computer counts.
• Monitor all cycle counts and identified issues related to variances (miss tagged, misplaced, theft, damage). Conducted root cause analysis.
• Monitors inventory levels and fulfillment center capacity to ensure proper space utilization.
• Conduct periodic location cleanup of multiple physical locations.
• Coordinate pick list generation and put away of items effectively
• Conduct internal audit on inventory by coordinating inventory supervisors
• Ensure all items are put away immediately after inbound process.
• Produce internal performance reporting in order that throughput, quality and trends can be monitored
• Carry out 5S practices within inventory area
• Be prepared to assist with other departments in the warehouse as and when required
• Carry out internal health and safety audits as and when requested.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
• Carry out investigations into any accidents or near-miss incidents

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

• 2-5 Years’ experience in WH field
• Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and with enthusiasm (verbal communication skills)
• Ability to work in an environment that is fast paced, constantly changing and achieve innovative solutions
• Strong analytical skills to be able to interpret, report and plan based on metrics.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management System functionality.
• Leadership, teamwork and staff development
