Job Title: Building Automation Programmer Engineer

General Summary: EMCOR Services Mesa Energy Systems has an immediate need for a Building Automation Programmer. The Niagara4 Automation Programmer will be expected to inspect, test, adjust and repair new or existing electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic automation devices, and systems. The Automation Programmer will be able to make modifications to programs and Graphics on a Niagara N4 site.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Create control algorithms, download source code to controllers, manage system databases, and implement an animated front-end graphical user interface.
• Experience in Multiple Systems integration, getting different protocols to talk to each other and share information. One front end for multiple platforms.
• Executes project start-ups, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of installed BAS controls and mechanical systems on assigned projects.
• Participates in the layout and coordination of network drops, IP addresses and monitoring tools with customer's IT Department personnel.
• Works with equipment vendors to coordinate communication protocols, encryption, and database requirements for integration to their systems.
• Runs semi-complex reports to analyze system operation, works with project team to demonstrate system operation and verify consistency with the contracted scope of work.
• Participates in final inspection and testing, assures customer acceptance, and conducts training for end user customers on system operations.
• Provides Plans & Control System Documents to application engineering for as-built drawings using the latest digital technology.

Job Specifications (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.)

• 5 years of experience with Tridium Niagara AX/N4 and must be Niagara N4
• Knowledge of Direct Digital Controls, LON, LonWorks, BACnet, Tridium NiagaraAX and Niagara4.
• Knowledge in any of the following manufacturers is preferred: Honeywell WEBs, JCI Facility Explorer, Schneider Electric EcoStruxure and Niagara4, Delta Controls, and Distech.
• Must have working knowledge of HVAC systems - Unitary Systems to Central Plants.
• Must have good troubleshooting skills for determining HVAC vs. computer/controller issues.
• General understanding of IP networks.
• Knowledge of Windows Operating System.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• Some flexibility to work overtime/weekends.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
