Key Job Responsibilities

A civil & structure site supervisor is responsible for monitoring civil construction projects, reporting to respective engineer, coordination and overall integration of technical activities in civil, structure, soil and architecture work with project procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To encourage and guide all site workers and subcontractors in the application of statutory regulations and ensure the safety performances of all worker under his supervision are maintained at all times.
• Reports to respective engineer for implementing of the PSHP.
• Organize the work place in compliance with the PSHP and ensuring minimum risk to workers, equipment and materials. Safe system of work for all operations, including those of KPEng and sub-contractors shall be established an approved before commencement of any activities. Emergency procedures shall be communicated to all at the workplace.
• To investigation and report any accidents / dangerous occurrences and ensure that appropriate remedial measures are taken to prevent reoccurrence.
• Cooperate with the appointed safety representatives at workplace over the implementation of PSHP.
• Ensuring proper care of casualties and know where to obtain medical help and ambulance service in the event of a serious injury.
• Ensure that all new worker and trainee worker are informed or instructed on any potential hazards at the workplace and measures to control these hazards.
• To arrange delivery and proper stacking of materials without endangering persons or equipment. Maintain a tidy workplace.
• Supervise & monitor housekeeping perform by sub-contractors.
• Plan transportation or hydraulic systems and structures, following construction and government standards, using design software and drawing tools.
• Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
• Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project site.
• Estimate quantities of materials, equipment, or labour to determine project feasibility.
• Prepare and submit Daily Site reports with photo progress to respective engineer.
• Supervise Test soils and materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Candidate must possess at least a Technical School or Diploma (Civil) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3-5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Assistant Engineer specializing in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
• Have involved with construction related to renewable energy infrastructure eg. Hydropower Structures, Water Treatment, Sewerage.
• Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
• Comprehensive understanding of risk management
• Demonstrated problem solving ability in a cross-functional environment.
• Advanced MS Excel.
• Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals.
• Excellent communication skill
• The ability to identify and intervene in problem areas, well-developed problem-solving skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Salary: RM2,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Kota Marudu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

• Construction: 2 years (Required)
