Job description

The Operation Manager will manage, direct, and control the overall production operations and drive asset productivity to meet market & customer requirement. Continually improving the standards of best practice through management of OHSE, Operations and Develop People Performance to improve cost to produce.

To ensures production of prime quality metal coated and painted coils meet our customer requirements, within agreed standards, quality, and cost parameters.

He / She must be able to direct organize team in terms of daily production, EHS and all manufacturing standard compliance in production area. He/ she is to ensure key performance indicators are well measured and proper corrective and improvement actions are developed.

Responsibilities:

• To maintain a safe work environment for plant personnel, contractors & visitors by meeting Zero Harm to people and environment.
• Observes and actively demonstrates the leadership behaviors required to lead safety standards and people performance – Felt leadership
• To plan & direct activities to ensure customers receive quality products, in full & on time.
• Responsible for achieving production plan and KPI targets
• Ensure the skills and competency of the teams and individuals are best in class and maintained for optimum performance.
• Responsible for accurate budget/cost management, including Labor costs
• Meeting the stretch target for OEE, uptime, yield, and conversion cost.
• Provide and support the expectation that process controls will be used across products and critical variables.
• Lead continuous improvement process and people involvement to entire organization.
• Future workforce planning for optimal direct labor management include diversity.
• Plan and proposed productivity improvement of asset such as production cost, yield etc.

Qualification and/or experience required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (Mech/Elec)
• Minimum 8 years relevant working experiences, preferably in heavy industry
• Manufacturing experience within a continuous process plant/equipment and heavy industry.
• Demonstrated Safety Leadership practices and experience
• Possess leadership qualities as well as being innovative, discipline, well-organized and pro-active team player who thrives in as fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: RM8,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
