What is the Reading Specialist Role?As a Reading Specialist, you are part of a team that sets the tone for student growth and learning. As a Reading Specialist, you will teach three sections daily to support students to meet their literacy goals. You will work to build students' reading fluency and comprehension to meet grade level expectations or IEP goals. You will build strong relationships with students in order to push them to be their best selves both academically and personally.

You collaborate with colleagues in order to support academic success for students in your classes. To that end, you will take part in regular data meetings, engage in approximately 20 administrative observations, and participate in weekly professional development over the course of the school year. Hours for this role are 7:45 am - 4:00 pm.
