Position Title: Software Engineer
Position Reporting To: Technical Lead

Role:
Software Engineer needs to address the entire software development lifecycle - to analyze the needs, and then design, test and develop software in order to meet business needs. Software Engineer also responsible for managing the resolution of application and system issues that arise across the systems.
Key Duties/Responsibilities

• Strong analytical and thinking skills with an ability to visualize processes and outcomes.
• Ability in troubleshooting software issues and debugging a large codebase.
• Improving system quality by identifying issues and common patterns, and developing standard operating procedures
• Enhancing applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations and designing and implementing systems
• Maintaining and improving existing codebases and peer review code changes.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
• Analyzing data to effectively coordinate the installation of new systems or the modification of existing systems.
• Performing analyses on software application functionality and suggesting improvements.
• Providing front end support to business users.
• Managing code migration across environments to ensure continued and synchronized functionality.
• Establishing the root causes of application errors, and escalating serious concerns to the Technical Lead.
• Good all-round communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Jobholder Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in in computer science, software engineering, or another related field.
• Must have at least 3 to 5 years of development experience.
• Proven working experience in Java and .NET development.
• Experience in supporting FileNet, Content Navigator or other ECM solution.
• Knowledge in .NET and VB programming languages.
• Hands on experiences in various Java EE frameworks such as Spring, Struts 2, Log4j2, AXIOM.
• Knowledge in Web Service: XML, JAVA, SOAP API, REST, IBM MQ, JSON.
• Knowledge Web Technologies: CCS, HTML, JQuery, JavaScript, JSP.
• Experience in WebSphere and Tomcat Application Server.
• Experience in DB2, Oracle and MSSQL database.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills ( English)
• Good interpersonal skill
