COMPANY NAME: Cooley Group
JOB TITLE: Knitter
LOCATION: Cranston, Rhode Island
HOURS: 3rd Shift

Cooley Group is looking to hire hard-working and dedicated employees for Knitters. Operate knitting machine and material handling in and around the knitters to maintain the efficient operation of the machine while ensuring quality and performance requirements are optimized and consistent with specified requirements and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate all related knitting equipment.
• Includes, but is not limited to the task of loading and unloading the machine with yarn/beams.
• Responsible for drawing in broken threads, replacing filling, setting up and tying in warp beams, and fabric quality.
• Record keeping of all related production data and outputs, including data entry into the Manufacturing Operating System.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and abide by all safety policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all practices, policies, and procedures according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 requirements.

Successful candidates will have:

• One year experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must possess basic machine operation, mechanical and organizational skills.
• Must have a working knowledge of PLCs.
• Must be able to read and understand English.
• Must have good communication and collaborative skills.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Must be able to use standard ruler and metric system.
• Previous Textile/Knitter machine experience preferred.
