L & D Technician
Job description
The Labor and Delivery Technician performs a variety of clerical duties, maintains cleanliness and organization of the unit, and assists with patient care, including preparation of the surgical patient. Works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Reports to the Nurse Manager or designee.

Maintains cleanliness and organization of the unit.
Perform a variety of clerical duties.
Effectively manage department/patient activities in a time efficient manner to ensure the delivery of care is well organized and proficient.
Maintain the medical record to ensure that forms are available for use and patient information is easily retrievable.
Provide quality customer service to patients, families, co-workers, and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team to create a professional and respectful environment.
Completion of a Surgical Tech Program Preferred
Current BLS
Either completion of surgical tech program or at least 1 year experience in L&D or OR department in similar position.
Possesses effective interpersonal and communication skills as well as basic computer skills.
