Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled utility maintenance work and operates a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of the city utilities, streets and other infrastructure, with a concentration on the wastewater collections system. Actively supports and upholds the City’s mission and values. MANDATORY MEMBER OF SNOW & ICE CONTROL TEAM.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); and
• Possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License*; and
• Possess a minimum of Class A Ohio Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)* w/ tanker endorsement, and
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the operation and/or maintenance of water treatment, water distribution systems, sewer collection systems, wastewater treatment, or equivalent, and
• Must be able to respond within a reasonable amount of time to emergencies and fulfill physical demands of the position; and
• Must be able and willing to work extended hours and demonstrate a work history of reliable attendance and overtime response.

Additional requirement for Wastewater Collection Division:

Obtain a minimum of an Ohio EPA Class I Wastewater Collection Operator License* within two (2) years of appointment.

• Licensures must be maintained over the course of employment as a condition of employment within this classification.
