Position: Senior Lecturer / Lecturer
Required Qualifications
Candidate required to fulfill the following requirement:- MUST be a registered counsellor under Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia (LKM).
- PhD/Doctorate degree in counselling or master’s degree in Counselling or Counselling Psychology with minimum of 5 years of teaching of teaching
OR
practising counsellor experienceOR
both teaching and practicing experiences are greatly valued.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with the following qualifications are highly encouraged to apply:- Trained in clinical supervision.
- Trained in the following specialisation or focused skills training in either one of these areas: crisis and trauma counselling, grief counselling, marriage and family therapy and expressive art therapy or other specialisation.
- Have experience providing clinical supervision to trainee counsellors/counsellors.
Responsibilities
- Teaching undergraduate and professional level graduate courses in psychology, counselling and/or clinical psychology.
- Provide clinical supervision to counselling students/trainee counsellor.
- Participate in curriculum development or new programme development.
- Participate in coordinating teaching and learning activities as assigned.
- Provide guidance as academic mentor to the postgraduate students.
- Serve on departmental, school, and university committees, and participate in other academic functions.
- Develop research projects and willing to collaborate with faculty on research, scholarly activities and secure internal/external grant.
- To undertake administrative tasks related to the department,
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
