Job Description

Assures the procurement and inventory management of high technology or life sciences production and/or non-manufacturing materials, equipment and/or services in accordance with supply chain optimization and management objectives. Coordinates material sourcing for new product introduction (NPI) projects, in collaboration with R&D. Establishes and manages supplier relationships including negotiating contracts and prices, monitoring supplier performance, selecting/analyzing the supply base and developing and executing the commodity plans. May manage contract manufacturer (CM) or original design manufacturer (ODM) relationships to ensure inventory optimization. May be responsible for contributing to or leading process improvement efforts, such as in new product introduction (NPI), resourcing, cost reduction and/or quality. May have global responsibility and/or support multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Release Purchase order weekly/daily per system triggering or manual request

• Obtain supplier acknowledgement and delivery commit

• Perform order reschedule per weekly exception report

• Expedite material to fulfill production requirements and upsides

• Timely update to procurement report and other procurement related activities

• Timely procurement data maintenance in system to ensure data accuracy

• Meeting Procurement department KPI in OTD, SS, Compliance, inventory and etc

• Inventory optimization through VMI, JIT, Stagger delivery, and other inventory program

• Maintain good supplier relationship to ensure smooth supplier delivery

• Address all receiving and payment related issue with supplier, logistic and Account Payable team.

• Work closely with supplier and Material Engineers on the resourcing activities and defective return/management

• Perform RFQ and negotiate with supplier on price, delivery and business T&C

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or relevant fields.

• Ideally 3-8 years of relevant experience in the procurement of production materials.

• Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.

• Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
