Education/Training/Experience:
High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree in management, marketing or social science preferred. Four years of healthcare administration experience, including a minimum of 3 years in graduate medical education.

The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational and administrative abilities. He/she must also exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Complete familiarity with computers and database management is required. He/she will be able to handle confidential information and will exercise good judgement with respect to the generally sensitive nature of material related to residents and students.

Primary Function:
The Residency Program Administrator provides administrative direction for all undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing medical education programs within the Medicine Subspecialty Fellowships. This service line includes 10 Medicine Fellowship Programs. The Residency Program Administrator manages directly Fellows in Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Advanced Heart Failure, Endocrinology while providing direct administrative supervision for Pulmonary, Hematology-Oncology, Nephrology, Transplant Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Transplant Hepatology, and Infectious Disease (a total of 54 fellows), and 192 Jefferson Medical College students and 40 observers. In addition, the Residency Program Administrator will serve as workflow supervisor for the two Fellowship Coordinators. The Residency Program Administrator has primary fiscal responsibility for education cost centers within the service line. He/she works alongside the Program Directors in the planning and development of policies and procedures relating to the educational programs and ensures compliance with all external review agencies.
