Job description
Under the general supervision of the Fellowship Program Director, Assistant Program Director, Division Chief and Division Administrator, you will serve as a Program Coordinator for the GI Fellowship Training Program. In this role you will monitor fellow performance and duty hours in MedHub; oversee compliance with fellowship program requirements; and respond to program inquiries from the ACGME, RRC, and Dean of Medical Education, David Geffen School of Medicine in clear, well written communication. Monitor the evaluation, certification, and training verification of fellows; maintain all ACGME and GME required documentation for programs; communicate with applicants and fellows during the academic year. Assist in the process of recruitment and selection of fellows and coordinate interviews, coordinate academic events; coordinate academic travel and reimbursements, and will work with the Program Director to develop conference schedules (Visiting Professor and Journal Club), program accreditation, and special education projects as assigned.
Salary range: $24.28-$48.04 Hourly
- Demonstrate PC proficiency in a Windows environment using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Email.
- Skill in writing, proofreading and editing using correct grammar, spelling punctuation and format.
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent work streams and meet ongoing deadlines.
- Ability to coordinate large meetings with multiple attendees and to finalize details in advance of program meetings and educational seminars.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and weekends as needed to provide program administrative support
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of UCLA GME policies and procedures as well as ACGME Program Requirements.
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with faculty, staff, fellows and others.
