Job description

The Project Engineer reports to the Project Manager and is responsible for the project management in the project division which covers base build, tool hook-ups and sustaining works.

I. DAILY TASK

• Take lead and attend walkthrough enquiry for Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Piping base

build, tool hook up and sustaining work request.

• Prepare and compile BOM/costing for proposal/tender submission.
• Prepare and ensure proposal/tender is submitted timely.
• Monitor and ensure all installation works/task is completed on time.
• Enforce work quality practice at all time, strictly comply to drawings, specification and

obtaining QAQC / customers buy off.

• Attend and solve site installation/commercial issue.
• Manage and coach project supervisor.
• Submit weekly progress update and attend weekly work progress meeting with customer.
• Take lead to prepare, compile and submit final handover documentation timely.
• Approve material requisition for site installation.
• Raise material requisition for material to purchase.
• Monitor and check site store material record.
• Monitor and check site equipment and special tool record.
• Enforce and practice proper PPE and strictly follow safety guidelines at work place.
• Enforce and audit proper housekeeping (5S) at work place, laydown and workshop.
• Back up project manager during his/her absent.

II. RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Engineer is responsible for maintaining day to day project activities in order to meet departmental operations.

• Awareness on SOP and quality plan.
• Awareness on safety requirements, cleanroom protocol and site security rules &

regulation.

• Schedule and project cost awareness.
• Continuous to grow in competencies and multi-skills set by management.
• Maintaining good records of attendance.
• Perform other related duties as and when required.

III. QUALIFICATIONS
Possess minimum Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering with at least 2 years of related working experience.
Must maintain strict confidentiality in performing the duties of the Project Engineer and also to demonstrate the following personal attributes:

• Demonstrate sound work ethics

The Project Engineer must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

• Communication and Writing skills.
• Computer application competency eg. MS Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD.
• Understanding of Basic Engineering, Drawings and Project site environments.
