*Position is Contingent upon Contract Award

Location: Clovis, NM (AFB)
The Protestant Religious Education Coordinator responsibilities:
Qualification Requirements:
- Must have 2 years of experience including (but not limited to) administration, program
coordination, education, Bible studies, volunteer work or customer service work. Two (2) years of verified religious work is preferrable.
- Shall have basic working skills with Computer programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. In addition, be able to learn how to navigate Chapel Shared Drive, SharePoint, and other networking platforms used by the Chapel. To include video/teleconferencing technologies (Zoom, GoToMeeting, etc.).
- Provide proof of High School diploma OR its equivalent. A bachelor’s degree in religious studies, education, or social science is preferable.
- Resume must reflect at least two references with knowledge of previous work as a religious education coordinator or teacher. Include: References name, address, phone number and/or email address.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Shall provide services for Protestant Religious Education Coordinator for adult, youth and children programs throughout the year to include a summer program – as specified by the Lead Faith Group Chaplain.
- Shall administrate, coordinate, and lead, if necessary, the protestant religious education program design.
- Shall execute the implementation of programs for adults, youth, and children, as well as to assist in building a solid foundation for spirituality, Christian living, and service through reflection upon life experience according to Protestant Christian beliefs.
- Assist with volunteer recruitment, i.e., teachers, assistants and religious education teacher training; coordinate program needs with Lead Faith Group Chaplain.
- Coordinate with volunteers to support the Religious Education program and comply with chapel volunteer program requirements.
- Lead Faith Group Chaplain and Religious Affairs Airman for additional support and guidance. Training should include orientation for new volunteers on facility.
- Provide additional workshops for special programs, e.g., kids participating in a musical, summer religious education program, special Christmas, or Easter program. These trainings may need to be provided virtually (to include digital production/presentation via a media platform),
- Lead Faith Group Chaplain’s plan for special events e.g., Christmas program, Vacation Bible School, Easter Events to include volunteer support.
- Shall provide services required virtually if we do not have facilities available. PRE coordinator will have the ability to set up and utilize virtual meeting software and resources (Zoom, GoToMeeting, etc.).
- Shall visit each class weekly or as requested by volunteer teachers.
- Attend all regular meetings of the Protestant Pastoral Council and Protestant Pastoral Staff.
- Shall coordinator with Chapel Tithes and Offerings Fund (CTOF) Account Manager for guidance related to CTOF.
- Lead Faith Group Chaplain prior to final coordination and approval.
- Generate all publicity for the PRE program: RE announcements, flyers, bulletin inserts, events guide and calendar.
- Required to hold quarterly meetings with the PRE committee. Contingencies must be in place to execute these planning meetings through video/teleconferencing software (Zoom, GoToMeeting, etc.).
- Plan and execute an annual event to recognize and honor volunteers; coordinate requirements with chapel personnel appointed to manage the overall volunteer program. This annual event may need to be provided virtually (to include digital production/presentation via a media platform), in the event facilities are not available or due to Public Health guidance.
Hours and Performance:
- Shall work a minimum of 20 hours per week depending on seasonal schedule.
- Shall arrive at least half an hour prior to the beginning of classes and any events held to include Sunday service.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
