Our Kuala Lumpur office is looking to hire a versatile Senior Motion Designer to work on the production of content campaigns. You will contribute to developing high-profile brand marketing campaigns, toolkits and motion graphics for one of our most prestigious clients in APAC. You will help set standards and motion kit templates that translate ideas into remarkable campaign assets and ensure the work adheres to guidelines and are consistent across ad formats. You will help develop high-profile brand marketing campaign assets while supporting team members, including art directors, junior motion designers, and visual and production designers. The job combines original work and equally remarkable adaptations from existing styles and assets.

This senior role requires solid experience in motion graphics and video production and an intimate understanding of what is needed to successfully make tremendous and impactful content.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide motion design for a wide range of campaign assets
  • Create replicable motion graphics kits that can be adapted easily
  • Ideate in the early stages of the project with other creative team members.
  • Embrace challenges and inspire creative ways of thinking.
  • Adapt all kinds of video content and assets to global social content campaigns
  • Creation and adaptation of motion assets to all kinds of platforms, lengths and languages, ensuring every ad is fit-for-format and looks pixel perfect. Adaptation is understood as: the creation of flexible motion graphics templates that allow for easy replacement of supers & end cards, sound mixing voice-over, adding subtitling, etc.
  • Make sure deadlines are met and flag the ones that aren't feasible upfront
  • Communicate daily with Post Producers in the MediaMonks team, operating from different offices in APAC
  • Keep the integrity of the designs by following brand guidelines
  • Work closely with our Senior producers and creative leads, and design teams
  • In addition to producing excellent motion graphics, you ensure that designs adhere to guidelines and are consistent across ad formats, dimensions and languages.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years experience of relevant professional experience.
  • Visual design experience with proficiency in typography, colour, layout, and aesthetic sense
  • Advanced level in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Adobe Creative Suite
  • You're a true team player who's great with clients and colleagues alike but can also work independently with little guidance.
  • Familiarity with design systems
  • A good command of English, written and verbal
  • Working with tight deadlines fits you like skinny jeans; you never fail on delivering.
  • You can impress under pressure, take responsibility for your workload, time management, note-making and feedback-processing, and any other actions required to make the work great.
  • Methodical and organised in archiving works
  • Experience with major social media platforms
  • Fundamental understanding of timings in motion.
  • Experience in a fast-paced agency environment is a plus.
  • You can prioritize and problem-solve, not hitting the panic button for any bump in the road.
  • You understand the post-production workflow and know how things need to be done to follow a proper structure.
  • When you're working on a project, you own it and can propose creative solutions for editing and storytelling.
  • You know how to keep your files, layers, and folders organised
  • You can contribute to different stages of the production process, from setting styles and layouts to cutting formats and language versioning.
  • You can handle repetitive tasks and stay focussed.
  • You are always on the lookout for process efficiencies.
