Job Description Summary:

Overall responsibility to drive the Company site-based OSH and ESH management system in line with the Company’s targets, legislative obligations, and statutory requirements and compliance.

· Inspect the Company / site facilities observing operation and activities, investigating health and safety complaints, and ensuring that the Company complies with the legislative obligations and statutory requirements compliance;

· Perform risk management and assessment on current and new processes and implement necessary change;

· Conduct regular safety inspections and organize periodic audits;

· Conduct and present monthly OSH / ESH and accident / incident reports and findings;

· Formulating and coordination of Emergency Response Team (ERT);

· Observes work in progress, ensure that proper safety equipment is worn and procedures are followed;

· Coordinates and consults with Director, Project Managers and Project Engineer and Supervisors regarding health and safety issues in their respective areas and notifies them regarding violation of safety regulation and codes;

· Makes recommendations for corrections and follow-up to ensure that violations have been corrected.

· Analyzes hazards and develops appropriate risk assessments on Company / site activities;

· Develops policies, plans, and procedures to minimized risk;

· Ensures preparation of safety manuals, training outlines, and employee instructions for work deemed to have recognized hazards;

· Conduct or provides for employee safety training / briefing, including classroom lectures, demonstrations, or hands-on instruction;

· Execute OSH / ESH programs to improve the safety and health performance, update OSH / ESH forms / notice boards, and conduct toolbox meeting and safety orientation for employee and contractors;

· Reviews and tracking of accidents/incidents statistics and makes a recommendation for preventive measures;

· Implement permit to work system, safe work procedures, safety supervision in lifting work, working at heights, hot work, confined space entry work, and safe use of chemicals;

· Ensures that Company / site complies with all environmental regulations regarding hazardous substance handling and disposal;

· Schedules and attend regular safety meetings;

· Maintain mandatory records and other documentation as may be required by the regulatory authorities;

· To support any departmental task required from time to time.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Salary: RM3,300.00 - RM4,300.00 per month
