GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE

The slotting technician under minimum supervision, slots new material by sub-transferring of material, readjusting the locator dimensions physically and systematically, capturing item information and entering into Oracle. In addition, they run reports in the absence of a lead that give them their daily replenishment tasks, replenish PRIME locators based on daily demand, identify and create space when abnormal orders/product arrives at the facility, and break allocations to ensure pickers are picking from safe heights. The slotting/replenishment team also works the crate hold report to ensure daily demand is completed.

The priorities and focus of the Slotting and Replenishment Team can change frequently throughout the duration of a shift. The ideal candidate will be willing and able to shift from one task to another on short notice in order to best serve our internal and external customers.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSTIION

• Processes system-generated move lists in order to optimize and maintain our slotting strategy
• Replenishes Prime locators
• Breaks allocations to ensure the picks are safe for picking
• Calculates Max Stacks and enters Item information
• Operates various material handling equipment such as forklifts, order pickers
• Enters item specs and zone codes
• Tracks and corrects reservations outside of the prime to ensure safe picking practices are followed
• Reports and corrects storing errors in slotted zones
• Ensures work areas and other designated work areas are maintained in a safe and neat manner.
• Assists with the training and instruction of new employees who may be assigned to this area.
• Hoist certified
• Crate, Store and Slot daily customer demand for hoist required items (cooler cell)
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
• Provide guidance while ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
• Stocking and arranging of product to ensure warehouse turns of inventory

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

• High school diploma/General Education Degree (GED) and/or equivalent work experience
• Previous Material Handling experience (cherry/reach lift experience preferred)

• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skill.
• Proven team player.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Standing and/or walking for entire shift and ability to quickly shift from one task to another and work in a fast-paced environment
• Bending and/or stooping repeatedly throughout shift
• Lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds unassisted on a regular basis
• Be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment

EQUIPMENT NEEDED

• Powered Industrial Vehicles (required):
  • Cherry Picker (Order Picker)
  • Reach Truck
  • Dock Stocker/Forklift
  • Or similar PIVs
• Hoist operation experience a plus

WORK HOUR REQUIREMENT

• 12:00PM to 8:30PM
