Job Description
Design and execute tests for software/firmware of measurement instrument products, report the test results and track the defects and resolutions by working closely with the R&D teams located in Japan and America. Also be responsible for develop, maintain, improve test method, test platforms and test tools depending on the product characteristic.
Key responsibilities includes:
- Define the software qualification strategy, test plans and test cases for the target product or project.
- Develop test method and tools for the planned tests and ensure they achieve the testing goal.
- Design and develop test code, and perform a variety of different tests which includes firmware of instrument, application software, instrument driver (e.g. IVI driver) and so on to ensure product quality and business success in the long run.
- Create Software QA reports to report defects found through the tests and be responsible for tracking, debugging and resolution working with the R&D team.
- Understand the internal and external customer requirements and product definition to continuously improve the software test process and testing tools.
- May be responsible for development of test platforms, test automation, configuration management systems, defect tracking and reporting systems.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor / Master’s degree in Computer Engineering / EE / Comp Sc
- with good communication skills.
- Experience in automation testing and ability to write automated tests is an advantage.
- Programming knowledge in C# / C++ or equivalent.
- Have a good command of English.
- Typically 2-4 years relevant experience.
