As a Vascular Access Clinical Specialist-California/North Bay you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Providing clinical and technical guidance to account managers and customers related to 3M’s Vascular Access and Acute Patient Care products, and additional specialties within the Medical Solutions Division (MSD), as needed.
- Collaborating with account managers on clinical/sales joint calls with key hospital and out of hospital customers which requires in depth technical knowledge, understanding of clinical evidence, and how to solve moderately complex issues related to marketed products.
- Training end-users on 3M products for evaluations or conversions, presents Continuing Education programs on relevant and prioritized content, and participates in professional associations.
- Lead product evaluations and conversions with planning meetings, follow-up calls, troubleshooting, and data analysis.
- Contributes to the advancement of regional opportunities to defend existing business and win new business.
Company Vehicle
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position (if applicable)
Your Skills and Expertise

- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Three (3) years of vascular access, critical care nursing and/or infection prevention experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Current, Valid Driver’s license is required, as you will be issued a company vehicle for this position (if applicable)
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing discipline from an accredited institution
- Previous medical sales support experience that includes public speaking
- Certification(s) that include Vascular Access Certification Corporation (VA-BC™), Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI®) - Infusion Nurses Society and/or Acute/Critical Care Nursing (CCRN®) - American Association of Critical-Care Nurses
- Active member of Association for Vascular Access (AVA), Infusion Nurses Society (INS), and/or Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC)
Travel: May include up to 60%-80% domestic
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized.
Work location: Must live in territory (Northern California)
