JOB DUTIES

We are looking for caring and patient Direct Support professional to work one-on-one with our 16-year-old daughter with special needs. The Direct Support Professional will provide supervision, keep her engaged during hours worked, assist with enhancing communication skills, and ensuring her hygiene is properly cared for. We are in Northern Frederick County. Starting pay is $25-$27 an hour and can be negotiated depending upon background check and experience. This job includes paid time off and mileage paid at the federal rate. Taxes will be withheld.

Schedule

Monday thru Friday 5-8 PM Saturday 8-1

Requirements

1. Minimum of a High School diploma

2. Prior experience working with folks who have developmental disabilities is preferred.

3. Be able to pass a background check.

4. Have reliable transportation.

5. COVID vaccination preferred but not required. If unvaccinated, a mask must be worn the entire shift.

6. Lift up to 30lbs.

7. CPR/First Aid certified- training can be provided and reimbursed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
