This is a full-time, exempt position.
General:
Global Business Services - Settlement has an opportunity for the right candidate to join our AGRIS Support group. Within the Support team, this position is responsible for report development, business process automation, and providing technical support for our programs. The successful candidate will be exposed to and involved with Accounting, I.T. and various commercial groups and business leaders. Daily tasks will include administrative support of applications, creation and maintenance of existing forms and reports, and support of report exceptions and settlement related transactions. Other responsibilities include defining system changes for the I.T. department to assist in the implementation of new initiatives and performing user acceptance testing to validate the expected results.
Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Information Technology is required; other Education and Experience will be considered in lieu
- Minimum of 3-5 years of ADM experience or equivalent is necessary
- Experience or training with SQL statements and SQL tools
- Experience or training with scripting tools such as PowerShell a plus
- Experience or training with various reporting tools
- Training in C#, Java or Visual Basic a plus
- Strong analytical abilities, initiative, and problem solving skills are necessary to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment
- A proven track record of being dependable, reliable, meeting strict deadlines, and a strong desire to help others
- Effective oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to interface with various levels of office and customer clients
- Good organizational skills with the ability to function in a team environment
- Ability to work independently with given project deadlines and time constraints while also being able to interface with all areas of the Business and I.T. teams when required
- Proficient with reporting and data query tools
- Accounting knowledge a plus
- Consult application support personnel as needed when researching and finding the preferred solution
- Test and review the results of programming changes and enhancements to ensure the desired results are achieved
- Leverage required skills to query transactional databases and work to understand issues associated with but not limited to transactional discrepancies, reporting and commodity position related inquires
- Direct changes to existing policies and procedures based on experience and knowledge of technical aspects of the system to end users and other reporting groups
- Answer daily system support questions via telephone or e-mail
