As a Compliance Associate, you are responsible for screening cargo to ensure compliance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations, take care of other Government Agencies requirements Attention to detail, precision, and critical thinking skills are fundamental to performing this job. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to screen cargo using different methods of screening (X-ray, EMD, ETD, PHYS Search and K9)
- Prepare pallets for the screening and K9 teams and return to proper storage area once screening is completed
- Screen cargo by Bill of Lading (BOL) and Airway bill (AWB)
- Screen cargo, with coverage for all facilities and shifts on an as needed basis
- Document screened cargo with tags and log into screening binder
- Monitor Temper Evident Technology (TET) Tape, SCI, and Seals
- Understand and follow alarm resolution procedures
- Required to challenge all persons not displaying a badge within Able Freight warehouse
- Able to follow notification procedures
- Ensure all screened tags must be submitted to WMS team by end of shift
- Ensure all calibration and Maintenance logs needs to be completed at the beginning of each shift
- All screeners are required to complete an incident report detailing any machine damage both before and during their shift and submit it to the security coordinator (SC).Follow Dangerous Goods (DG) requirements and regulations
- Escorting as required
- Learn and maintain a thorough knowledge of procedures required by various customers, products, airlines, and destinations
- Maintains Akitabox invoices and receipts
- Submits workorders as required for maintenance
- Assists with trace back documentation for food safety
- Must maintain food safety temperature logs
- Facilitates TSA trainings for Spanish speaking employees
- Runs daily Known Shipper reports
- Train employees in Physical Search and ETD Screening
- Assist with internal TSA audits
- Acts as back-up to Food Safety GMP/GDP walkthroughs
- Participate in any and all cross-training programs as assigned
- Report to your assigned shift on time each day you are scheduled to work
- Keep work area well-organized, clean, and free from trash and debris
- Wear safety vest at all times while in any warehouse facility
- Report any Compliance issues to the Compliance Team in a timely manner
- All other tasks as assigned by the Security Coordinator, Food Safety Manager and/or Director of U.S. Operational Processes and Quality
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent, experience in security work or aviation screener work
- Must provide proof of the legal right to work in the United States
- Is a citizen or national of the United States or a Lawful Permanent Resident
- Comprehension of English (both written and verbal)
- Detail oriented
- High level of accuracy in work
- A safety-conscious mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under deadlines and pressure
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
- Must be able to work in a refrigerated or cold environment for duration of shift
- Must be comfortable in a warehouse environment and around fast-moving equipment
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to reach above shoulder level, bend, sit, squat, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, and twist/turn
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be bilingual in English/Spanish
- Must be able to pass a preemployment physical, background check, and drug screening
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience in a refrigerated/cold climate warehouse
- Experience in using a computer or tablet for work

This position will require employee to enter Able Freight warehouse spaces. You must abide by all safety and Compliance requirements and measures while in the warehouse.
